Josephine Benton's book is an easy-to-read collection of stories of Seventh-day Adventist women ministers spanning more than a century. In it she introduces her readers to many women who have been called into the ministry of God and whose gifts have been officially recognized by the church, but only one of whom was an ordained minister—Ellen White. The commitment, resourcefulness, tragedies, and joys of these women ministers will provide inspiration for the reader as well as for other women in today's church.
